The job description is not a contract, the County reserves the right to modify job descriptions at any time.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB TITLE:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong>Sanitation Driver\/Crew Member (CDL)<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEPARTMENT:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Sanitation<\/p>\n<p><strong>REPORTS TO:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Director of Sanitation<\/p>\n<p><strong>SALARY:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>$18.00 hourly<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUMMARY: <\/strong>Drives truck to collect garbage by performing the following duties, along with other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drives on designated route to pick up and load garbage onto truck;<\/li>\n<li>Assist other drivers to get routes completed in a timely manner;<\/li>\n<li>Transports load to disposal area;<\/li>\n<li>Unloads garbage or dumps garbage from truck;<\/li>\n<li>Cleans and lubricates assigned truck; and<\/li>\n<li>Reports any suspected equipment problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a valid MS Commercial Driver&#8217;s License (minimum of Class B)<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work Monday \u2013 Thursday, 7:00 am \u2013 5:30 pm;<\/li>\n<li>Must be available to work overtime, certain holidays, and Fridays when needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION AND\/OR EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent;<\/li>\n<li>Acceptable experience in a related area of maintenance and\/or construction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>Lamar County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
