JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Limb Truck Driver/Crew Member
DEPARTMENT: Road Department
REPORTS TO: Foreman and Assistant Road Manager
SUMMARY: Operates and drives county-owned limb truck to collect and transport vegetative debris, limbs, and brush from designated areas within Lamar County, along with other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates limb truck and related equipment to load, haul, and dispose of tree limbs, brush, and vegetative debris
- Drives assigned routes and responds to work orders
- Assist ground crew with loading debris when needed
- Responsible for reporting any suspected equipment problems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid Class A or B MS Commercial License;
- Must be physically able to perform these duties;
- Must be able to work Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Basis English skills;
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred;
- Acceptable experience in a related area of maintenance and/or construction.
