JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Sanitation Driver/Crew Member (CDL)
DEPARTMENT: Sanitation
REPORTS TO: Director of Sanitation
SALARY: $18.00 hourly
SUMMARY: Drives truck to collect garbage by performing the following duties, along with other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives on designated route to pick up and load garbage onto truck;
- Assist other drivers to get routes completed in a timely manner;
- Transports load to disposal area;
- Unloads garbage or dumps garbage from truck;
- Cleans and lubricates assigned truck; and
- Reports any suspected equipment problems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid MS Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be able to work Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm;
- Must be available to work overtime, certain holidays, and Fridays when needed.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent;
- Acceptable experience in a related area of maintenance and/or construction.
