Firefighter

Lamar County Fire Services has job openings for 2 full time firefighter positions that will work a 24/48 shift from 7am-7am.  We are hiring for the  A shift and C shift positions.  These positions will be assigned to Central Lamar Fire Department in Bellevue.  The applicant must have firefighter certification in Mississippi of NFPA 1001 Level 1 &2.  A firefighter must be willing to complete a minimum of medical EMR training within one year if they do not have the training.  We will consider applicants who do not have the required NFPA 1001 1&2 certification.  If hired, this candidate would be required to complete the Mississippi Fire Academy in the first 12 months of employment and needed medical certification after that.  For more information, contact Lamar County Fire Coordinator, Kyle Hill @ khill@lamarcountyms.gov
