SUMMARY: Manage the daily administrative operations of the office by performing the following duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include the following but may be assigned other related duties):

  • Answer multiple incoming phone lines and transfer inquires to requested person or take a message
  • Greet and assist the general public in person and via telephone
  • Supply purchasing, document filing and maintenance, drafting letters and electronic correspondence
  • File all documents in designated filing cabinet
  • Enter a variety of data into the computer
  • Proofread various documents
  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes and check the office mailbox at the post office
  • Write and enter work orders for building and grounds
  • Provide support to attorneys, produce discovery to defense attorneys, file pleadings and other documents with the court
  • Notarize documents (office will assist personnel in obtaining Notary authorization)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Maintain Receiving Clerk Certification
  • Must have a valid MS Driver’s License

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic English Skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • General office experience
  • Typing and computer skills to include WordPerfect, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proofreading ability
  • Knowledge in data entry

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required
  • Must have general office experience which is acceptable to the hiring authority
