Overview
On November 19th, 2009 Lamar County Board of Supervisors historically voted to adopt the Lamar County Zoning Ordinance. The effective date of the enacting of the Ordinance was set to be January 1st, 2010.
Lamar County Board of Supervisors under authorization from the Mississippi State Legislature House Bill 1661 enabled Lamar County to adopt zoning for portions of the unincorporated County.
Therefore Lamar County adopted on November 19th, 2009 an Ordinance and enacted such an Ordinance January 1st, 2010.
